This session explores the relationship between autism, gender identity, and sexuality and why autistic people are more likely to question norms. It examines identity development, safety, acceptance, and additional risks, alongside inclusive and affirming support approaches.
By completing this CPD session, participants will demonstrate that they can:
Understand key concepts relating to gender and sexuality identities experiences.
Recognise why autistic people may question gender and sexuality norms responses.
Identify additional risks faced by autistic LGBTQIA individuals.
Understand the importance of acceptance over full understanding.
Apply inclusive and respectful support approaches effectively.

This training provides up to 2 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and is suitable for professionals working in education, health, care, and corporate settings.
