Our Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP)

Organisation Details

Organisation name: Neurodiverse Training

Sector: Education, Training, Consultancy

Business size: SME

Primary activities: Delivery of neurodiversity training, consultancy, and education services to public and private sector organisations through a blended model of in‑person and digital delivery.

Commitment to Achieving Net Zero

Neurodiverse Training is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2045, using a proportionate, evidence‑based approach that reflects both organisational growth and environmental responsibility.

We recognise that expanding high‑quality, accessible in‑person training is central to our mission. Our approach therefore prioritises carbon efficiency and emissions intensity reduction, rather than restricting activity that delivers meaningful social and educational impact.

You can find our Environmental Policy here.

Baseline Emissions Footprint (Year 2024-2025)

Neurodiverse Training operates a structurally low‑carbon business model.

Scope 1 – Direct emissions

  • No owned or leased vehicles

  • No on‑site fuel combustion

Total Scope 1 emissions: 0 tCO₂e

Scope 2 – Indirect emissions (purchased energy)

  • No owned or leased premises

  • Remote‑first workforce

  • Energy use embedded within third‑party venues and home working

Total Scope 2 emissions: Not directly reportable

Scope 3 – Indirect emissions (value chain)

Primary sources include:

  • Business travel for in‑person training (rail, limited car use, minimal air travel)

  • Digital infrastructure (cloud platforms, learning systems, video conferencing)

  • Purchased goods and services (IT equipment, training materials)

  • Staff and associate commuting

Baseline Scope 3 emissions: Low but non‑zero; qualitative baseline established

Given the organisation’s size and operating model, a qualitative baseline with structured monitoring is considered proportionate and appropriate.

Current Emissions (Year 2025-2026)

As in‑person delivery expands, absolute Scope 3 emissions may increase in the short term. However, emissions growth is actively constrained through delivery planning, travel mode controls, and digital substitution where appropriate.

The organisation prioritises year‑on‑year reductions in emissions intensity, rather than absolute reductions alone.

However year end of 2025 we implemented an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) which has resulted in massive reductions achieved through:

  • consolidation of software use from over 10 online platforms (MS Forms, Dropbox Sign, Monday, etc) to mainly 1.

  • use of ERP 'chatter' to reduce staff emails by 100's a week.

  • use of ERP Environmental and Social Governance module to track how our use of this software converts to carbon and paper reductions through staff uses of the program over email, and other software.

Emissions Reduction Targets

Target YearCommitment
2027Maintain zero Scope 1 emissions and establish formal tracking of travel‑related emissions intensity
2030Achieve a minimum 30–50% reduction in emissions per training day and per delegate relative to baseline
2035Near‑elimination of carbon‑intensive travel except where clinically, legally, or accessibility‑related requirements apply
2045Net Zero across all scopes

These targets explicitly allow for organisational growth and increased in‑person delivery, provided emissions efficiency continues to improve.

Carbon Reduction Measures Already Implemented

  • Blended delivery model, preferencing online delivery

  • Remote‑first internal operations, minimising routine commuting

  • Paper‑minimal delivery, with printed materials provided only as reasonable adjustments

  • Reuse and responsible disposal of IT and office equipment

Carbon Reduction Measures Supporting In‑Person Growth

  • Flights used only where distance, disability, or delivery constraints make rail unviable
  • Geographic clustering of in‑person delivery to reduce repeat travel

  • Preference for regionally‑based associates to minimise long‑distance travel

  • Ongoing review of venue selection to prioritise accessible, well‑connected locations

Governance and Accountability

Responsibility for delivery of this Carbon Reduction Plan sits with the Executive Leadership Team.

Environmental performance is reviewed annually alongside the Environmental Policy, with specific consideration given to:

  • Emissions intensity trends

  • Growth in in‑person delivery

  • Opportunities to further reduce avoidable travel

Declaration

This Carbon Reduction Plan is publicly available and has been prepared in line with UK Government guidance, using a proportionate approach suitable for an SME delivering blended in‑person and digital training.
