Executive Functioning

in Autism & ADHD

This session explores executive functioning differences and why these can significantly affect daily life and wellbeing. It examines organisation, time management, working memory, and emotional regulation, alongside the impact of sensory load and anxiety.

Executive Functioning is a collection of models used to describe processing differences across a range of mental health conditions as well as neuro and non-neurodivergent minds. Due to this the Executive Functioning Skills mentioned in this session also apply to other minds and conditions.

By completing this CPD session, participants will demonstrate that they can:

Understand what executive functioning and the executive functioning skills are.

Recognise common executive functioning difficulties.

Understand than common support strategies can work across a range of processing difficulties.

Apply strategies to education, work, and daily living needs.

Apply practical executive functioning support strategies.

This training provides up to 2 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and is suitable for professionals working in education, health, care, and corporate settings.
