Helping Neurodivergent

Children Learn

This session explores how neurodivergent children experience education and why traditional approaches may fail. It examines sensory processing, emotional regulation, anxiety, and unmet needs, alongside inclusive strategies that support learning and wellbeing.

Created for schools and delivered across many counties as part of national PINS projects. This session is aimed for teachers of children aged 4 - 18 with optional sections on sleep, eating difficulties, demand avoidance, and physical behaviours.

By completing this CPD session, participants will demonstrate that they can:

Understand how neurodivergent children experience learning environments.

Recognise how sensory and emotional differences affect learning and can contribute to physical behaviours.

Understand what causes and how to support: physical behaviours, sleeping issues, eating difficulties, and demand avoidance.

Understand practical changes other schools often make within limited budgets.

Understand and gain insights in home-based strategies that can enable learning within the classroom.

This training provides up to 2 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and is suitable for professionals working in education, health, care, and corporate settings.
